  • October 13, 2022: A joint venture between BASF and PETRONAS Chemicals Group Nerhad, known as BASF PETRONAS Chemicals Sdn Bhd was intended to increase the annual output capacity of 2-Ethylhexanoic Acid (2-EHA) in Kuantan, Malaysia. By 2024, production would increase from 30,000 to 60,000 metric tonnes. The corporation intended to boost output in order to guarantee a steady supply of high-quality goods in Asia Pacific.
